Hollie is a great friend of mine and she is expecting a baby girl in October! We all wanted to throw her a shower so she could get some pretty outfits & special things for baby girl! Another good friend of Hollie's, Kelly, wanted to co-host the shower with me. We were the perfect team! She hosted the event at her beautiful home in North Georgia. Twenty of Hollie's family members & closest friends joined us to celebrate baby girl!

Hollie has a little boy who is nearly 7 so, it's been awhile since the baby days! I can't believe how many new baby things are out there...I haven't had babies in 4 years either and everything has changed so much! I am so glad she got some new gear and equipment that is essential for parenthood these days.

Hollie is a free spirited, natural, and boho mama for sure. I wanted the theme of her shower to reflect her styles and interests. She wanted to make her own invitations {below} and they turned out beautiful! It really helped me and Kelly figure out what colors/patterns/theme to go with.

I'm already a lover for anything green and organic so the decor was easy for me to find & create. Moss lined the tables with pops of white and green flowers + candles. I also made these twig teepees as a centerpiece. My vision was one big and one small..representing mama + baby.

I L O V E dessert... as most women do. I wanted to do something yummy & authentic for the sweets. Store bought cupcakes just aren't very good these days..too much fake icing and loaded with sugars. I went for homemade pink velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Everyone kept telling me, "Oh, just buy some cupcakes...its easier." but I love to bake and I rarely get to do it these days. I hope everyone enjoyed them!

Kelly's masterpiece! When we first decided to co-host Hollie's shower together, we bounced ideas off of each other. This was the only one she insisted on doing...& I completely agreed. How hilarious? I just got a big tray of veggies from Costco & a few heads of cabbage. We lined a big tray with the cabbage and then filled the veggies in. Cabbage patch baby was wrapped at the base in plastic wrap to avoid getting dirty. A super easy display for any themed baby shower!

The activity Kelly and I agreed on was stenciling onesies for baby girl! Hollie actually put this idea in our minds and I am so glad we went with it! Kelly picked out the stencil designs, about 12 different ones. Everyone created their very own masterpiece to send home with Hollie. We got a variety of onesie sizes, 3-6 months & 6-12 months...that way she will be able to use them throughout the first year. :)

Some girls went with the stencils provided, and some free handed designs of their own. Love, love, love this idea! :)

When people finished painting their onesie, I hung them up along the window to dry in the sun. It made a little clothes line. :) I wish my photo was better, but backlight-full sun is no bueno when photographing a white shirt.

Kelly made these candle favors for the guests! So sweet.   "Here's a candle for you to light once the stork has made its flight, with the flicker of the flame, please say a prayer in baby Lyle's name."
